Big Island poets will gather on Thursday at Volcano Art Center’s Niaulani Campus to present “Voices: Rising from the Page.”
During the event, which begins at 7 p.m., poets will read their work, sharing stories of triumph, sadness, and the range of emotions, which come from the written page.

The evening will also include time to discuss poetry, a chance to win a copy of the Hookupu CD, and to pick up Bamboo Ridge books.
This presentation is part of a once-a-month Thursday evening series at the Volcano Art Center, focusing on art, Hawaiian culture and our environment.
